Retinal Scanning

Retinal Scanning

You may be aware of the changes at the front of your eye beacause these can often result in adjustments being made to your glasses or contact lens prescription. Retinal changes do not always cause visual symptoms, so you could be unaware of any conditions developing. However, by conducting a thorough retinal examination, we may be able to see these changes at an early stage to be treated without loss of vision. A retinal scan can detect a number of other health problems such as diabetic retinopathy, high blood pressure and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Our retinal scanner enables us to get a 200 degree view of the back of the eye, unlike traditional methods that would only allow us to view approximately 30 degrees. As we are commited to offering the best and latest practices in eyecare, we highly recommend this examination to everyone.
