Freddie is a remarkable young boy currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia in Leeds. Despite everything he’s facing, he wanted to do something special for the other children in hospital with him. His idea? To collect Easter eggs so that every child on the ward could have a little treat this Easter.

When Leah Khan heard about Freddie’s amazing initiative, she reached out to all her Eyeplan Patients to see if they would help support Candlelighters and Freddie’s mission.

And wow - what an incredible response! Thanks to your kindness, Freddie now has an amazing collection of Easter eggs to hand out, bringing smiles to all the children at Leeds General Infirmary.

It’s heartwarming to see how generous our community is, and Freddie can’t thank you enough for your support. These small acts of kindness mean the world to Freddie, and the children and families going through tough times.

So, from all of us, Candlelighters - and especially from Freddie - thank you! Your generosity has made a real difference.
